Support
Questions about the free web trainer, the iOS waitlist, or Clef for iOS once it ships — this page covers the common ones, and how to reach a real person for everything else.
Email support@clefdrills.com for anything not answered below. A person reads and replies to every message, usually within a couple of business days.
Browser and MIDI requirements
| Browser | Drill | MIDI keyboard input |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome / Edge / Opera (desktop) | Full support | Full support (Web MIDI API) |
| Safari | Full support | Limited/no Web MIDI support |
| Firefox | Full support | Limited/no Web MIDI support |
| Mobile browsers | Full support (touch) | Not applicable |
Without MIDI, or on a browser that doesn't support it, everything still works — tap the on-screen keys or use your computer keyboard's letter keys (c, d, e, f, g, a, b) to answer.
Troubleshooting MIDI
- Use a Chromium-based browser on desktop (see table above).
- Connect your keyboard before loading the page, or reload the page after connecting.
- Allow the MIDI permission prompt if your browser shows one.
- Close other apps (DAWs, other browser tabs running the drill) that might be holding an exclusive lock on the same MIDI device.
- Still stuck? Email support@clefdrills.com with your browser, OS, and keyboard model and we'll help you debug it.
Accounts, streaks, and data
The web trainer needs no account. Your best streak is saved only in your browser's local storage — clearing your browser's site data will reset it, since there's no server-side copy. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what is and isn't collected.
iOS waitlist questions
Joining the waitlist gets you one confirmation email now and one notification the moment Clef for iOS opens for early access — nothing else in between. To be removed from the waitlist, email support@clefdrills.com and we'll confirm once it's done.
Clef for iOS
The iOS app is in active development, adding intervals, chords, progressions, MIDI/mic input, and a spaced-repetition scheduler on top of the treble-clef basics in the free web trainer. This page will double as the in-app support destination once it ships — the same address, support@clefdrills.com, handles both.
Still need help?
Email support@clefdrills.com — describe what you were trying to do, your browser/OS, and what happened instead of what you expected. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
